Sisters Niki and Simone Zimmermann founded their namesake brand in 1991. They quickly gained a loyal following of smart, fashion-savvy women who value quality fabrics and expert tailoring. ZIMMERMANN started out in Sydney, designing dresses and selling them at Paddington Markets. Niki spent the week designing and sewing clothes in her parents’ garage, preparing for a weekend market. The markets became an opportunity for Niki to hone her aesthetic perception and see first-hand how women react to fashion.
