Athens with Headphones: A Walk in the Footsteps of the Gods.

Every visit to Athens is like a return to a myth. Here, the shadows of ancient columns fall on the asphalt like lines of old books. Walking along these streets is like turning pages where the heroes are still alive.

I chose a tour where the guide's voice was heard directly in my headphones, and the ticket to the Acropolis was already on my phone. This is an audio tour from WeGoTrip - a format that I loved in Greece.

What was inside the route?

— We started at Hadrian's Library, near Monastiraki. — Then the Roman Agora, the Temple of Zeus, the Theatre of Dionysus, and, of course, the Acropolis itself. — The voice in the headphones spoke of gods and heroes, of wars and sunlight. — Sometimes I stopped just to feel what the city sounded like.

What is especially valuable?

  • You can go at your own pace

  • You can listen, then take a photo, come back and finish listening.

  • You can start with one route and then choose the next one - there are many of them in Athens

I walked 5 kilometers, listening to history being born from stone. This walk lasted about 2.5 hours, and frankly, I would do it again. Especially in the late afternoon, when the marble starts to turn pink.
