Corfu Beaches with Blue Flags – 2025.

There are places where the sea is not just blue - it sounds silent. Where the sand is warm as a palm, and the wind smells of salt and pine. In 2025, sixteen beaches of Corfu again received the Blue Flag - an international award for cleanliness, safety and care for nature.

This means that this season you can lay your towel on the shore and be sure: it is clean, transparent, honest here. Here you can breathe deeply.

North Corfu

• Almiros / Grecotel Costa Botanica Wide beach, dunes, gentle surf. It is especially beautiful here at dawn.

The central part of the island and Diapontia

• Agia Ekaterina / Public beach Alykes Spacious, shallow, warm. Family and honest.

• Alykes Potamos / Louis Kerkyra Golf The beach is surrounded by greenery, next to the hotel, but is also open for leisurely walks.

• Glyfada / Kupolas Corfu Peach-colored sand, the sound of waves and the vastness of the horizon.

• Dassia / Ikos and Ikos Odisia Modernity and tradition in a soft balance. The morning sun here is almost milky.

• Daphnila / Eva Palace and Grecotel Dafnila Bay Dassia Cozy bays, pine trees almost above the water. Good for reading, sleeping, silence.

• Kanoni View of the planes flying overhead, but also of the water. The sounds mix – but the feeling of space remains.

• Kommeno / Corfu Imperial A private corner with azure shimmer. Transparency like in watercolor.

• Kontokali / Kontokali Bay Resort Comfort and order. Suitable for those who want tenderness and shade.

• Benitses Beach of old Corfu. A bit of nostalgia and a lot of light.

South Corfu

• Agios Ioannis Peristeron / Marbella Corfu Pebbles, turquoise sea, perfect entry into the water.

• Issos / Labranda Sandy Beach Resort Sand dunes, almost Sahara. Wind, movement, space.

• Moraitika / Delfinia Hotels and Domes Miramare Corfu Beaches with history. Greenery to the water, shade of trees, a little whisper.

What does the Blue Flag mean?

This award is a sign of cleanliness, ecology, water quality and respect for nature. It is awarded by the Hellenic Society for the Protection of Nature (EEPF) as part of an international program.

Advice from me

If you want silence, come to the beach in the morning. If you want warmth, come closer to the evening, when everything freezes. And if you want to touch the real Corfu, just sit by the water's edge, don't plan anything, and stay a little.
