Paleokastritsa and Corfu Old Town
Sometimes a few hours are enough to feel the island with your whole body. To remember the light on the walls of the houses, the taste of sea salt on your lips and the coolness of the shadow of an old tree in an alley.
If you have a short stopover in Corfu – perhaps as part of a cruise – this route can be a quiet but important moment in the overall travel map. Half a day that leaves a bright mark.
First, Paleokastritsa . Above, a monastery with a view of endless turquoise. Below, the shore with rocks, silence, and water you want to stay in. This is not just a photo pause. This is a look into the depths.
Then there's the Old Town of Corfu . You don't follow a route, you follow your instincts: from Liston to the old church, from the aromas of olive oil to the shadows under the arches. It's easy to get lost here and, fortunately, not want to be there.
An air-conditioned bus, an English-speaking guide, time on the beach, an audio guide in 6 languages - everything is organized, but nothing prevents you from being yourself. You can take off your shoes, walk barefoot on the sand, sit in a cafe with a view and just breathe.
📌 Advice from me Take light clothes, a camera, some cash - and leave the rush. The island does not tolerate it.

Let even a short day in Corfu remain in your heart for a long time - like a light breeze from the sea.
