or what is really worth taking to Corfu
Sometimes I think a suitcase says more about us than a passport photo. It knows what we are afraid to forget, what we want to touch, and what we are looking for - even if we don’t admit it.
I haven't brought anything extra to Corfu for a long time. Because everything "extra" falls away there by itself - noise, haste, "just in case".
Here is my personal island list. Tested in spring, summer and heart:
✅ What I always take:
– Two linen dresses – one warm (for the morning), the other cool (for the sunset)– Sandals and sneakers – so you can walk along the embankment and the path– A swimsuit – and another one, if you want to be different– A scarf – from the sun, from the wind, from random thoughts– A notebook and a pen – sometimes you need them more than cream– A bottle of oil with geranium and grape seed – instead of perfume, instead of words–Yesim eSIM or Drimsim — because the connection should be as light as a seagull– A book that you don’t mind getting wet with salt– A bag of lavender — just so that the suitcase smells like home
🧴 What I don't take:
– High heels – even thoughts take their time here– A serious cosmetic bag – the island itself makes the skin warm– Three sweaters, “if it suddenly gets cold” – one is enough, like a hug– A plan for every day – because here the day itself knows what to be
💡 Advice from me: Put one thing you love at home. And one thing you want to leave on the island. Sometimes a suitcase is a bridge between you and yourself.

Let the trip be not only to places, but also inside yourself.
