for those who want not only to get there, but also to understand where they are
In Corfu, buses are not just transport. They are part of the island rhythm. They are not always punctual, but they are almost always friendly. And if you catch their mood, you will see more than from a rented car: dried olives on the balcony, a granny with a baguette, a sunset in an alley.
🚍 What types of buses are there in Corfu:
1. Blue Buses This is the city transport. It connects Corfu Town (Kerkyra) with the districts and nearby resorts. – The main route is No. 15 (from the airport to the port, through the center) – Tickets cost about 1.20–1.70 €, can be bought from the driver or from the machine – Departure center is San Rocco Square
2. Green Buses These are intercity routes that go to more distant places - Paleokastritsa, Sidari, Acharavi, Kavos . - Departure - from the main KTEL station on Eptanisou street
– Good directions:
🔹 A9 — to Paleokastritsa
🔹 A3 - to Acharavi and Roda
– Check the schedule online: it may change in summer– Tickets are sold at the station and through the website
💡 Useful tips:
– Download Moovit , an app with a route map and stops
– Check the schedule for a specific date – some buses do not run on Sundays
– Keep the route number and stop name – they are not always written in Latin
– Always have small change or a card.
– If you get lost, just ask the locals. Even without English, they often help with gestures and kindness.
When to go - in the morning or in the evening?
In the morning - for those who want sun and open spaces. In the evening - for those who want pink light, a little silence and windows with lamps lit.
📌 From me: Look out the window. Sometimes the blue bus shows the real side of the island - the one that is not in the guidebook, but in the heart.

Let the bus be not just a route, but an opportunity.
