Olive trees are forms of time.

Updated: Jun 30

In Corfu they don't "grow" - they live . Some of these trees were planted more than 400 years ago . Not for shade. Not for business. But simply because someone once knew - the olive tree will remain.

Over the years, their trunks become twisted like the breath of the wind , with cracks like ancient ceramics, and with a silence inside that can be seen even in photographs.

These are sculptures that grow slowly . Each tree is not only food and fuel, but also a notebook in which centuries were written.

📖 I hug one tree every time I go deep into the island. Not for the ritual, but just to remind myself: being long can be gentle.
