What to pack for Corfu - with love from Aegean Notebooks.

An island that stays inside doesn't require much. It gives warmth, color, taste, and wind. But there are still things that are worth putting in a suitcase — and some that you can do without. I'm sharing my personal list.

What you should definitely take:

1. Light clothes made of natural fabrics. Cotton, linen, muslin. On the island you will feel not only the sun, but also the wind - it is better if the clothes are soft and breathable.

2. Comfortable shoes for walking If you want to walk in the mountains or along the streets of the old town of Corfu, comfortable sandals or trekking sneakers will come in handy.

3. Hat, sunglasses and a light scarf The sun is generous in Corfu. A hat is like a roof over your thoughts, sunglasses are like a shade for your gaze, and a scarf will protect you from both the sun and the evening chill.

4. Sunscreen (or oil with SPF) Especially if you prefer natural products. I take my own cream from the petal notebook - with raspberry oil, lavender and sun protection without chemicals.

5. A swimsuit - two is better The sea changes its mood during the day - it's nice to have a choice. One for swimming, another for morning lying on the rocks.

6. Favorite book or notebook Write, feel, hear. Corfu is about slowly looking. And have a place to save these moments.

What you don't have to take:

1. High heels. There is no hurry here, and the cobblestones will say "no". Better barefoot on the beach than in patent leather shoes in the alley.

2. A large cosmetic bag. Local water, air and sun will do their job. A little oil, a little hydrolat - and you glow.

3. Too many clothes. On the island, everything is heightened: colors, feelings, simplicity. The most you will wear is... a light dress and salty hair.

A personal touch

I always take a small bottle of eau de toilette from the petal notebook with me - with notes of rosemary, laurel and salty air. So that at any moment I can breathe in summer.
