Where to live to wake up to the sea

how to choose housing not by the stars, but by the feeling

When I choose a place to live on the island, I don’t look for stars. I look for light . And a morning. The kind you want to live through – not because it’s beautiful, but because real things happen in silence : dewdrops on the railing, the smell of coffee, the first barefoot steps on the terrace.

Klook— my usual way of finding a home away from home. I don’t scroll through hundreds of options. I look for:– a terrace with a view– a kitchen where you can make tea– a garden or balcony where birds fly– honest reviews from people like me: who care not only about service, but also about the soul of the place

💙 My ideal filter:

  • flat or apartment

  • "for the family"

  • near the sea

  • with balcony

  • with kitchen

Let there be light by the window. Let the hostess leave a basket of figs. Let the room smell of the wind, not the air conditioner.

I'm not looking for an ideal - I'm looking for a match.

📌 In Corfu I lived in Cosy Family Apartments - and I remember not the room, but the warmth of the welcome. In Paralia - in Dion, where you can hear the waves. In Dassia - in a room with a pine tree behind the glass. And every time - it was just real .

If you are looking for a place to stay where you will feel tender , don't be afraid of hotel filters. Listen not to the list, but to your intuition.

With love, Lilia from Aegean Notebooks May the morning greet you not with breakfast, but with the wind.

👉 You can book accommodation like I did through Klook
